Description
A Taste NY Market is located at the North Country Welcome Center featuring a broad selection of fresh-made breakfast and lunch items, including soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts using ingredients sourced from North Country growers and producers. It will also offer grab-and-go snacks, and specialty local gift items for sale, including I LOVE NY merchandise.
Multiple interactive I LOVE NY kiosks are positioned throughout the Welcome Center, allowing visitors to design a trip itinerary and test their knowledge of the region. A large LED screen promotes regional tourism attractions and destinations. A boat from the Antique Boat Museum pays tribute to the region's boating heritage, and an artifact wall includes regionally-specific items. Outside, the Welcome Center features a playground, a large I LOVE NY sculpture that provides the perfect setting for group photos and selfies, and a Walk of Fame recognizes famous New Yorkers from the region.
The Welcome Center is operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County.
